First Friday in Tarpon Springs: Why This Community Event Matters to Me
This February, I’m excited to be participating in First Friday in Tarpon Springs — and not just because it’s a fun night downtown. For me, this event represents something bigger: reconnecting with the community we chose to call home.
Why We Chose to Live in Tarpon Springs
A few years ago, my husband and I left South Tampa and built our home in Tarpon Springs. We didn’t choose this area by accident. We chose it because we loved the charm, the history, the water, and the strong sense of community.
Tarpon Springs feels like a place where people still know their neighbors, where local businesses matter, and where events like First Friday bring everyone together.
Ironically, once I started working full-time in real estate in 2020, I barely had time to enjoy any of it.
A Career I’m Proud Of — and a Change I Needed
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of helping more than 140 families build or buy their dream homes. That experience shaped me as a real estate professional and taught me the value of relationships.
But I realized I wanted more than transactions — I wanted connection.
That’s a big reason I transitioned from working for a builder into general real estate. I wanted to spend more time in my own community and really get to know the people who love Tarpon Springs as much as we do.
Why First Friday in Tarpon Springs Is So Special
If you’ve never been, First Friday in Tarpon Springs is a monthly downtown event filled with local shops, artists, food, music, and neighbors just enjoying the evening.
It’s relaxed, welcoming, and everything that makes this town special.
Participating in First Friday isn’t about sales for me. It’s about showing up, being present, and supporting the community we live in.
Stop By, Say Hello — and Enter the Raffle
If you’re coming out to First Friday this February, please stop by and say hello. I’ll be hosting a raffle for anyone who would like to enter, just as a small thank-you for stopping by and supporting local businesses.
No pressure, no sales pitch — just a chance to connect, enjoy the night, and maybe win something fun.
Thinking About Living in Tarpon Springs?
Whether you’re a lifelong resident, new to the area, or simply curious about the Tarpon Springs real estate market, First Friday is a great way to get a feel for the community.
And if you ever have questions about buying, selling, or building a home in Tarpon Springs or the surrounding areas, I’m always happy to help.
Real estate will always be part of what I do — but community is why I do it.
